Super Seeds & Nut Mix


“Where do you get your protein?” is a question we vegans get asked a lot. The answer is quite simple…in addition to dark leafy greens, quinoa, beans and lentils; one of the best sources of protein comes from nuts and seeds. And whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian or just want to eat a healthy, whole-foods diet, this nutty mixture is perfect for sprinkling on salads, hot cereal, ice cream and more!



1/3 cup flax meal
1/3 cup chia seeds
1/3 cup hemp seeds
1/3 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup raw sesame seeds
1/3 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup raw Brazil nuts
1/2 cup raw pecans
1/2 cup raw walnuts

Add flax meal and seeds to a jar and set aside. Then using a food processor ‘pulse’ nuts to desired consistency and add them to your seeds. Enjoy!

In our home we go through an entire batch of this Super Seed & Nut Mixture each week so I usually make a 2-3 batches at a time.
